About
The invention is a unique multimedia system which captures real world images of a person or object they control using motion capture camera/software and allows person to
(a) see themselves or object they control on a screen performing against computer generated expert performance, virtual opponent, or object and further
(b) allows computer to generate audio instructional/advice comments with the visual presentation so person can receive a personalised video presentation.
The personalised video presentation automatically generated by computer only is similar to face to face communications today with an expert or organisation but via the PIA system expert person or organisation never has to view person’s information and they could potentially teach thousands of people around the world per day who have a fast speed communications connection.

Australian Professional Golfer Rick Baker invented the system others now see as "Computer Personal Audio-Visual Trainer" in 1991, the early days of the Internet when nobody cared about transmitting interactive video services from a PC or over the telephone line it was too hard to achieve. Now the system is being seen by the major games companies as new way for people to interact with applications, like fitness, home entertainment programs etc that can run on a computer.
Advance for Audio-Visual presentations
Audio & Visual is a very important part of our lives. We learn in many instances from seeing and hearing things. We also have shown over many years we like to receive and are prepared to pay for Expert advice. When we go to an expert person for advice they usually show us things [visual] and talk to us [audio] but Since sound-on-film gained prominence in 1927 with Warner Bros first feature film presented as a talkie “The Jazz Singer” the video industry could not work out a way whereby a personalised video presentation could be made easily, economically and was suitable for mass market distribution.

To teach a person personally via video and connect to a mass market audience requires
- video to show a person back on screen their movement against a preferred movement or object with audio instructional comments so they can fully learn, plus
- make it easy to receive - today's fast speed communications networks are suitable
This system is written up in the PIA patent and now offers the greatest advance for video since sound-on-film was introduced - to be able to teach people personally!

We are now in an era where receiving video is the norm via an Internet and other means, people are having their movement or an object in their possession sensed via video camera and sent to a computer for interactive online coaching/advice services. The PIA invention can be used for potentially 1000’s of applications which can be distributed via Internet, Cloud, Smart phones etc.
